I’m super exited to announce that my bachelor thesis is going to be on the subject of exploring interactive playgrounds connected to computational thinking.
This project will be in collaboration with Linda Liukas at Hello Ruby & Science Center Curiosum - and has been rewarded a scolarship from Brita Stina Nordenstedts foundation. Woo!

summer 2023
The Social Innovation Tournament recognises and supports the best European impact entrepreneurs.
It promotes innovative ideas and rewards initiatives that contribute to creating social, ethical and/or environmental impact.
For the 2023 years ceremony held in Stockholm, me and Selma Strand had the honor to design the trophy.
We decided to really portray social sustainability, we wanted to involve the community in the actual design.
To do this, we ventured into Umeås city center, engaging with the people we met. Explaining our mission, we asked them each for small paper cutouts symbolizing themselves.
We used the cutouts to build a wreath-like shape - and pitched it to the competition together with the heartfelt story about our co-creation workshop, and got big thumbs up!
Time to get to work! We put it into production with the help from Glasteknik in Emmaboda and their watercutting machine and glass. The labels were then laser cut by me and Selma at the UID workshop.
Finally we put in our 7 trophies in a suitcase and went to attend the ceremony in Stockholm.
What a show!

This LEGO playset lets kids step into a rainforest to play with a pink parrot, then rebuild it into a swimming fish or a colorful frog.
I had the honor of re-coloring mentor and colleage Jonathan Robsons beautiful blue parrot, and got to lead this product through design phase.

winter 2023-24
These sneakers came about when Ruben Eriksson came to Umeå with a task for us to design a pair of sneakers with a non-sneaker brand in mind. The result is an awesome pair of sneakers that makes sure you have that crucial advantage in the every nerf game.
Later the same semester, during a storytelling course, I decided to give the sneakers some context. Everything is drawn frame by frame, old school! I was inspired by superhero comics and anime, the short movie aims to inspire that feeling of being completely unstoppable.

This colorful LEGO box is filled with 1,500 bricks for creative kids to inspire budding artists, designers and inventors with this big box of brightly colored building bricks.
I had the pleasure to lead this product through design phase and design the models and the brickpile.

Swedish industry giant Atlas Copco is aiming to pioneer a new segment—the electric grinder segment—which is predominantly found outside traditional industrial setups.
With this also comes the design opportunity to define the new age of angle grinders for Atlas Copco.
How will the Atlas Copco future electric angle grinder look like?
The research was made collaboratively within a team, with the shared mission of exploring problem areas and identifying design opportunities.
Gender balance in the workshops became an area of inquiry, as we quickly recognized a significant lack of female representation.
Furtermore, as I did research on the subject I found that metalworking is one of the professions with the biggest gender imbalance.
So - I introduced a new perspective by challenging the predefined narrative and introducing my user persona, Grinder Gracie, in contrast to the persona given to us by Atlas Copco, Grinder Greg.
This was driven by my questions on whom the design should cater to—whether it should conform to the existing target group predominantly consisting of men or strive for a more transformative approach.
