-->2049 - a feminist future
This project explores speculative design and futuring as tools to navigate an uncertain world. Together with Søren Rosenbak, we imagined futures set in 2049, grounded in trends and weak signals. What shaped this future? What events defined it? These questions guided the development of a rich narrative context.
Agora is more than a platform; it’s a digital town square. Farmers trade seasonal produce, artisans offer handmade tools, and bioengineers share sustainable materials like biodegradable textiles and plant-based plastics. Every transaction is rooted in care, embodying feminist principles of connection and mutual support. Agora reflects the values of Gaia, the spiritual movement honoring Earth as a living entity.
Across towns and villages, Agora is a lifeline for trade and collaboration, allowing people to thrive by sharing what they grow, make, or repair. Its name, inspired by the ancient Greek marketplace, symbolizes lively exchange and community. Agora is not just about survival—it’s about building a future where local resilience, ecological respect, and care for one another create a thriving, interconnected world.
